Conditional formatting based on another cell (Excel 2002)

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I am trying to make the formatting of one cell conditioned upon the value of another cell. Typical conditional formatting does not seem to allow me to do this.

Conditional formatting will do that for you. You can get very sophisticated with it's conditions. Here's a simple example: In Conditional Format dialog box, change "Cell Value Is" to "Formula Is" and then enter a condition like...
    =C5>100.
Type 102 in C5 and the cell you conditionally formatted will change.

You can make it based on nearly anything.
Change to dropdown from "cell value is" to "Formula is" and then enter a formula. When the formula is true the formatted condition of the highlighted cell will be set.
