    New Install (XP Pro)

OK I have an extra machine. I used 98 2nd Boot up disk to FDISK & FORMAT C: /s . Now it's formatted and ready I haven't went any further. How do I load XP . I don't have any type of start up disk. What can I do to get a clean download without having to load 98 2nd .I downloaded a DOS Boot Disk From Explorer . I booted up to it and it says STARTING & then goes to A: What do I need to do Next?

Can you boot with the XP CD? If your system won't boot with the CD you can download the WIndows XP boot floppies and start setup that way.

MMMMMmmmmmmm........ make sure that you use new floppies. Try creating them again with new disks; floppies are very likely to go bad and could cause problems like this. What that error said is critical to solving the problem, so if it happens again, write down the text message and please post back. As I understand it, you don't ever get into the setup program?

Looking forward to hearing more on this from you. Hang in there, dawg. <img src=/S/hairy.gif border=0 alt=hairy width=15 height=15>
