Query - comparing two tables. (Access 2000)

    Hi all,

I have two similar tables. Both have a common field. I want to do a comparison between the common field in Table "A" and Table "B" and find out which records are in Table "A" but not in Table "B".

How do I do this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can use the Find Unmatched Wizard for this.

When you create a new query, you have several choices. One of them is the Find Unmatched Records wizard.
In the first step, select Table A.
In the second step, select Table B.
In the third step, select the common field on both sides and click on the Link button.
In the fourth step, select any other fields you like to have displayed
In the final step, enter a name for the query (or accept the proposed name) and click Finish.

    HTH,
    Hans
