    Conditional Formating (Office 97 SR2)

    Hi

    I am trying to shade rows with even numbers, can anybody tell me what is wrong with my formula.

    =IF(MOD(ROW();2)=0;TRUE;FALSE)

    Without considering any other issues, I see you have semi-colons where commas should be.

    The formula can be simpler:

    =(MOD(ROW(A1),2)=0)

    The comma in the formula is the Windows list separator; if you use a semicolon as list separator, use that instead of commas. See attached workbook.

    I'm glad you figured out his purpose. I thought he was trying to shade rows whose sum was an even number. I get it now. He wants to shade even numbered rows, not rows that contain even numbers. Duh.
