    Office XP SP-1 (SP-1)

My Operating System is Windows ME. I have installed Office XP. No problem until I installed the Service Patch and can no longer access the Internet. I'm networked to one other computer in my home and we are connected to the Internet through cable. The other computer does not have a problem accessing the Internet (it is running Windows 98 SE and Office 2000). I can access the other computer through our networking so I seem to have a conflict but I don't know what it is. My solution has been to use System Restore to return to my setting prior to the Service Patch installation..

    Any suggestions? <img src=/S/hairout.gif border=0 alt=hairout width=31 height=23>

    Re: Office XP SP-1 (SP-1)

I don't know the answer and feel for ya. I just wanted to comment that, after dumping WinblowsME for WinXP, I haven't had near the troubles I used to. My patch worked fine as does all my other system aspects. In fact, I hardly ever reboot now. Maybe once a month. It's such a wierd feeling being able to acually use my computer to get work done instead of working ON my computer.
