    Installing MS Office XP (XP)

I just got a new computer and want to install Office XP on it. I allready had it installed and validated on my old PC. I've heard it won't let you install twice. Is that true?

You probably will need to contact Microsoft for a new code. These pages contain more info:

no.. depending on the verison you own.

If it's the normal retail, you are allowed two installs to differnet hardware - typically one laptop, one desktop.
if it's OEM and came with a differnent computer you can't use it on any other computer.
if it's student version, you are allowed one install and need to call MS for the code.

The easiest thing to do is install it and try the internet activation. If it fails, it'll give you a number to call for activation.
