    Recycle Bin Icon wrong

MS Default icon shows on Desktop, "Empty" one shows on C drive (whether there's stuff in it or not
Tried Tweak to rebuild Icons, tried customising icon using "Fixit", tried deleting cache, tried re-installing Win98SE but all failed to fix it
    It still works correctly in explorer - it's just down right a n n o y i n g <img src=/S/brickwall.gif border=0 alt=brickwall width=25 height=15>
Oh - "Network Neighborhood" on the desktop has a strange icon too
    Anyone any ideas?

    Hey Michael,
Right click on open area of desktop, choose properties and select the Effects tab. Highlight theicon you want to change in the window and click on the "Change Icon" button and have at it.

A corrupted ShellIconCache file sounds like a reasonable suspect. You can search the hard drive for that (hidden) file and delete it, or download TweakUI and force it to rebuild your icons. (Don't download the XP version though!)
