    2 Recent Problems (2000)

    I have encountered two (2) problems recently: first, when I have multiple files open and I click on "Window" to go to another file, the name of all the open files are missing, replaced by a blank. In addition, when I have a multiple worksheet file open, and the automatic save function prompts me as to whether I want to save my work, it automatically transports me over to another worksheet from the on on which I am currently doing work.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Jeff

    Thanks, Hans. I did what you suggested. Any way to have the filename return without giving up the full filname/path feature?

    Try if this version is any better:

    Public Sub WindowTitleWithPath()
    ' Changes window title to include path with filename
    ' Check if any child windows open (avoid error if no active window)
    If Windows.Count > 0 Then
    ' Change the window's caption
    ActiveWindow.Caption = ActiveWorkbook.FullName
    If ActiveWindow.WindowState = xlMaximized Then
    Application.Caption = " "
    Else
    Application.Caption = ActiveWorkbook.FullName
    End If
    End If
    End Sub

    Regards,

    Hans

    Re: 2 Recent Problems (2000)

    The first problem stems from your file-with-full-path macro.

    If you go to the immediate window in the VBE and type
    Activewindow.Caption=""
    And then go to the XL window and choose Window, number 1 has lost its name.

    No idea about the second problem. Why not download my Autosafe utility. Find it at
