Blanket AutoArchive Disable (O2000 or O2002)

Does anyone know how to disable (uncheck) the "Clean out items older than..." for entire mailbox and PST file? The alternative, of course, is to open the properties dialog box for each mail folder and perform the disable (if it's enabled). SInce I extensive use of folder trees for organzing a gazillion messages, this individual-folder method is not only a little time consuming, it also promotes carpal tunnel...

The settings in each folder determines what items from that folder will be archived when AutoArchive runs.
Whether AutoArchive runs at all (and if so, how often), is set in Tools/Options..., Other tab, AutoArchive... If you uncheck the "AutoArchive every ... days" box, AutoArchive won't run.

Re: Blanket AutoArchive Disable (O2000 or O2002)

Sorry, I want AutoArchive to run. But I want it to use the default setting for an entire mailbox, which I set through Tools -> Options -> Other -> AutoArchive... (see attached dialog box screenshot). My understanding is that, unless one wants special settings on each folder, this will archive every folder according to the settings in the dialog box.

Here's my problem (stupid me). A few years ago when I didn't really understand just how AA works, I decided to establish individual settings for a number of folders. Since then I have created a few PST files to archive old messages - primarily because my mailbox had far exceeded the maximum allowable corporate size (almost a GByte). Somewhere along the way, I must have dragged some of these folders to the archive PST with their individual archive settings. Since I keep these archive PST files open in Outlook, when AA kicks off, it thinks it has to autoarchive the archive PST files, too . Hence, my original post for a way to perform a blanket disable of the individual archive settings for all folders.

Hopefully, this is clearer.

I hope someone else will be able to help here, because I don't know of a way to set the AutoArchive properties for a set of folders at once.
