    How to read .mdb without Access

    hear is a fun question given an Access file and a computer
    that does not have Access How can you read the file
    (data and forms)

    You can retrieve the data into Word using VBA code (using either the DAO or ADO libraries).

    You might have an easier time querying the data in Excel. Data|Get External Data|New Database Query will fire up Microsoft Query and allow you to dip into your database.

    I am not aware of any way to use Access forms outside of Access, but there might be a programmatic way to access them through VBA if you can identify them (e.g., using ADOX).

    Access forms are peculiar to Access. You can't read them with anything else, since they are NOT the same as MS forms.
