site directory / map? (XPPro / IE6)

Is there a program (or another method) that would display, detect or map web addresses that are extensions of a given site.? Huh?

Okay, for example: Lets say that I know a webpage I'm looking for was a part of www.ricky.com.
It could be www.ricky/home654 or www.ricky/home654/ab or www.ricky/pictures/pets. But if all you know is the ricky.com portion, you would need some tool that could reveal the extensions from that site.

Any ideas?

Hi Ricky:
I don't know much about web pages, but can't you get that in IE6 by right clicking & choosing Links List & then holding the cursor over each link for the tooltip to appear?

No. I know of nothing that will do that -- but I am certainly interested in finding out if anything CAN do that.

I doubt it: most web servers are configured not to allow anonymous directory browsing. Even if they would allow it in theory, accessing the root folder should return a default document (e.g., index.html) rather than a folder and file list. Web spiders work, I believe, only from links in documents; even they do not find every available file. But, as Rick says, if such a tool exists, there would be a lot of demand for it.

This is what I finally came up with...

Use a search engine to find a web site.
Use pFerret to find the pages you are looking for on that site.
Site indexes (if they exist), are limited and often out of date.
Use pFerret to find non-indexed information according to your search criteria.
Begin with a starting address and optional settings to ferret the site of your choice.

You can get it here.
