    Split text into 2 cols (97)

    I have a column in excel that has a number / number (i.e. 6/7) i want to split it so that 6 is in one col and 7 in another. How can I do this

    Choose Data-Text To Columns..., select Delimited, then choose Other and input / as the delimiter.

    If you want to keep the original data intact, and you're working on cell A1, use two formulae:
    =LEFT(A1,FIND("/",A1)-1) for the value to the left of the '/'; and
    =RIGHT(A1,LEN(A1)-FIND("/",A1)) for the value to the right of the '/'
