    Change case during merge (Word 97)

    I want to be able to change a field to be all caps during a merge? In WordPerfect, you select the field and use ToUpper merge command. Is there a similar command in Word?

    Thanks!

    Re: Change case during merge (Word 97)

    In your merge document, toggle field codes (Alt+F9). The merge fields should now look like
    { MERGEFIELD LastName }
    Insert * Upper between the field name and the closing bracket:
    { MERGEFIELD LastName * Upper }
    Do this for all fields you want to display in all caps, then turn off field codes (Alt+F9 again).
    Related codes are * Caps, * FirstCap and * Lower.

    Thank you so much Hans. I knew there's a way, just couldn't find it!
