    Office Toolbar (Win XP SP1)

We recently got a Win XP./Office XP machine. With Office 2000, we installed from the Office 2000 CD, a toolbar that could be loaded with shortcuts and docked at the top of the screen. I have used that toolbar everyday since. Does Office XP have a similar feature that is not auto-installed? I checked both Office XP OEM CD's we received with the new PC and found nothing similar. In fact, it would not autorun so I could check.

Re: Office Toolbar (Win XP SP1)

I don't use the Office Toolbar but it's apparently installed with Office XP, on my installation there's a file named MSOFFICE.EXE in the C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOffice10 folder that launches the toobar, as illustrated. Recommend do a search for this file. In XP I think it doesn't load automatically as was case in earlier versions of Office.

    iN Windoze:

Start | Programs | Microsoft Office Tools

has a shortcut to Start the toolbar.

You also may find a shortcut in

    Start | Programs | Startup

This causes the critter to be automatically started,
