    Control the StausBar

    How do I control the information on the StatusBar in Accesss97 from VBA please. In Excel97 the VBA line is
    application.statusbar = "mytext"
    but this does not work in Access!

    Brian's suggestion works if you want a message in the status bar when you are in a particular field of a form. If you want to set it regardless of where you are, see the help for the SysCmd function, e.g.

    dummy = SysCmd(acSysCmdSetStatus,"This is a status bar message")
