First thing is to get the exam specs, which are available via the Mous homepage

    Re: MOUS Resources?

I have taken and passed the MOUS XP expert Word, expert Excel, and Powerpoint. They were all bears. I haven't taken the Outlook nor Access because they appear to still have technical difficulties. It is almost a requirement to use these products on a daily basis in order to prepare for the MOUS exam. Another good way to prepare is to try to answer the questions posed here on the lounge.

As far as study material goes, I have used dozens of different products and have found that the best reading material to prepare is free at cramsession.com. The best interactive CD preparation is SAM/TOM from Thomson Course Technology. I'm not sure how much is on the trial CD: you will probably need to register at a local college that uses Course Technology to get all of the material. When preparing, I took the entire SAM test database and then did TOM training on just the questions that I missed. I continued to do this until I wasn't missing any questions. The SAM question database is derived from MOUS objectives and the questions are all interactive, task-oriented, just like the MOUS. Of course, with a name like SAM, it has to be good. <img src=/S/wink.gif border=0 alt=wink width=15 height=15> Let us know how it goes! HTH --Sam
