    ISO Image File (XP Pro)

Hey guys I downloaded a file that they said was a ISO image of the CD. All I see is a little black box that looks like MS-DOE box . When I click on it all it does is flash up a black box for a second. What do I have do to use this ISO image. And what is ISO?

An ISO image is a mirror of what is actually on the CD - the file system and all. It cannot be natively read by Windows, so if you want to use it, you will need to obtain CD burning software that is capable of writing an ISO iamge to CD. My preferred tool for ISO images is FireBurner - simple, clean, and efficient. If you simply want to access the contents of the ISO image, there is a program that you can download called WinImage which will allow you to browse inside of the ISO file and extract its contents.

    Thanks Mark
I downloaded WinImage , extracted the files to a new folder and then I burned them to a CD . Worked great . I couldn't figure out how to just use a CD Burner to do what I wanted ( Stupid Thing ) But as always Woody's Lounge came through . <img src=/S/bravo.gif border=0 alt=bravo width=16 height=30>
