    drop-down boxes (Excel 97 SR-2)

    I have a drop-down box with a list of about 30 items from which to choose. Is it possible to create a second drop-down box (either in the same worksheet or another--doesn't matter) that uses the same list minus the choice made in the first box?

    Thanks in advance for any help you can give!!

    There are many ways depending on your need and skills.

    Here is one way that does not involve any VB

    Using code you could use something like

    Private Sub ComboBox1_Change()
    ComboBox2.List() = ComboBox1.List()
    ComboBox2.RemoveItem (ComboBox1.ListIndex)
    ComboBox2.ListIndex = -1
    End Sub

    Thanks! From there, how hard would it be to continue adding boxes until all choices have been used?

    Thanks! I'm going to try it this way, too. Using code is not something I normally do, but I do need to become familiar with.

    Peter,

    This is an interesting concept.

    Would you kindly post an Excel file as I'm having difficulty with the combobox created from a form. The navigation I'm using to create the form is View>Toolbars>Forms

    Thanks,
    John

    I don't think that this can be done using the forms toolbar, I used the View>Toolbars>Control Toolbox.
