    Anonymous Logon

    Hi folks,
Can anyone shed any light on a Win2K user ANONYMOUS LOGON in the NT AUTHORITY domain, such as whether it's a system-specific function accessing the server or a savvy hacker using the username to access?
When I look in the Security log, there are successful logons/logoffs all day long.
    Thanks for your assistance.

Are you running a web server? You see a lot of anonymous logins with IIS.

    Noo, not intentionally anyway . . .
Guess that's something I need to make sure of.

The only thing we <want> to be running is Terminal Services. The network is behind a Sonic Wall SOHO3 with VPN. And honestly, I don't know if any unwanted services may be running in the background -- I'll have to check it out.

I am not familiar with Terminal Services and what additional services may be required to run it. Sorry.
