    Speech Recognition error (Office XP)

After adding a new 20gig drive to my laptop I (foolishly) installed OXP with all the bells & whistles.
When I started up Outlook for the first time I got an error saying Speech Recognition required a 400 mz or better cpu. No problem, I toss the cd back in and disable speech recognition.

Problem is that I still get the error starting any of the Office apps. I am wondering what else I need to trigger to make Office realize that I *did* remove the speech features.

    Thanks-
    Eric

Did you disable Speech Recognition from Control Panel | Add and Remove Programs | Microsoft Office XP... | Change | Add or Remove Features | Office Shared Features | Alternate User Input | Speech Recognition | Not Available (from pop-up menu) ?

Re: Speech Recognition error (Office XP)

    Thanks for the reply-
Sure did, I disabled both Speech and Handwriting.

I s'pose I could have been somewhat clearer, that is what I
meant in my previous post about disabling speech recognition, sorry.

My thought is a registry key, as the exact same error message shows
up when starting any of the Office apps. I sure haven't yet found anything
though. Aside from this minor irritation everything is working up to spec.

The KB article steps fixed me up.

If it helps, I grabbed a few screenshots of the error...
(edit to remove link no longer needed)
Again, thanks for any assistance resolving this annoyance
