    Netscape 7 (Mozilla 1.0)

Evidently, Netscape 7's final release has been loosed on the public.

    Go Here!

And from this link comes the following:

Netscape Communications Corporation today launched the final version of Netscape 7.0. This latest release is based on Mozilla 1.0.1, making it the first Netscape browser to be built upon post-1.0 code. The new version boasts several enhancements over the 0.9.4-based Netscape 6.2, including tabbed browsing, the ability to save complete web pages, print preview, site icons (Favicons), a download manager, full screen mode (Windows only), Quick Search within Mail & Newsgroups and Address Book, return receipts, mail labels, S/MIME mail encryption, CSS support in Composer and one-click web page publishing.

Netscape 7.0 also has several features not found in Mozilla. These include the ability to access Netscape Webmail and AOL accounts directly from within Mail & Newsgroups, a button to easily toggle the display of My Sidebar in Navigator and P3P support for automated cookie handling. Improved instant messaging features

    Howdy Big Al

AOL integrated into Netscape 7, you say!!!!!
    What more reason should anyone have for not installing Netscape 7??? <img src=/S/flee.gif border=0 alt=flee width=25 height=25>

AOL in Netscape 6 turned me off Netscape so thoroughly that I doubt I'll ever go back. There are too many other good browsers and email programs available to waste time with Netscape/AOL.

    Have a Great day!!!

Well, Ken, I know you've read other posts here in the Lounge and see the "Mozilla" tacked onto everything I do here, so you know I'm just being fair to all the Netscape freaks out there by mentioning it. I didn't bother to say that Mozilla 1.1 was just released a couple of days ago also. Plenty of browser choices out there, huh?

    Hi Al

OK,OK.....not a Large selection of browsers, but still a few...

Mozilla ... your (and my) choice.
    Opera
    NeoPlanet
    a few more at Stroud's
Of course, there's also that Microsoft product.

And then browsers, just like everything else on the 'net', are evolving so fast that it seems there's always something "latest and greatest" waiting for us the next time we logon.

    Have a Great day!!!
