    Em_exec Error

Does anyone have a solution for this? I've tried the MSKB with no results.

Perhaps once in ten Startups (no pattern) after Windows loads and I have my complete desktop on screen, I get the error message as shown in the attachment.
Usually I "Restart" and, on "Restart" there is never a repeat of the error.
A few times I have ignored the message and continued on with my session. On these occasions I've not had any problems but I'm uneasy about any error messages that don't understand (ie: can't correct the problem).

Do a search at Google.com on EM_EXEC and you will find all kinds of entries. Several refer to the Logitech mouse drivers not loading.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

    Yup...that's a Logitech <img src=/S/mouse.gif border=0 alt=mouse width=42 height=33> goody! Perhaps you need to download new drivers for it - corrupted one or out-of-date?

    Thanks Dave and Lonnie.

I should have thought of a general net search. I used WebFerret and, like you Dave, I got a long list of hits, some linked to MSKB which does have info on the problem...their answer is to remove Em_exec from the startup (this is a common solution but eliminates some of the mouse features) or uninstall and reinstall the mouse drivers.

Lonnie, I've downloaded and installed a driver update, but since the problem doesn't occur every startup, I'll just have to wait to see if it works.

Whenever I had to download new drivers for my Logitech, it would always have a startup entry - which I immediately uninstalled...never had a problem with errors, either.
