Formatting Line Number "Numbers" In Word

I have prepared some testimony, and have utilized a page set-up with line numbers corresoinding to the Q & As. How can I format the actual line numbers themselves?

They have their own style. Go to the Format menu and select Style. In this dialog box, you'll see "Line number" in the style list. Click the Modify button, Format, and go from there.

I see you got an answer to your question regarding formatting line numbers. I just might add, in case you've haven't done so already, that you can create two styles (they can be identical), one for Questions & one for Answers. In the Format/Style/Modify box, you can set the style for the next paragraph for "Questions" to be "Answers" & vica versa. Then each time you press enter, it will take you from question to answer to question, etc.

The other thing you can do is apply Bullets & Numbering to the styles & use Bullets. Modify the bullet for each style to use "Q" in one & "A" in another.

    Hope this help.
