Start with Outlook 'Today (2002)

I want to start at Outlook Today. I opened the folder, clicked Customize Outlook Today, check the box 'When starting, go directly to Outlook Today', then Save Changes. It still opens to the Inbox.

Try:
Tools > Options > Other > Advanced Options
and select Outlook Today from the drop-down box.

Following your path, the start up folder is Outlook Today. This seems like such a basic task, just can't figure out why it seems so problematic.

Are you saying it still opens in Inbox, even with the setting as above?

How are you starting Outlook?

You could get the behaviour you describe by starting it from a shortcut that incudes the /select switch, although I've never managed to get the syntax for this one correct myself!
