    Targer frames with hover buttons (2000)

    I'm trying to get a hover button to use a target frame but it seems to ignore the "select hover button hyperlink" option of "Target frame".

    Do I need to add a line of Java by hand as it just gives the following:

    <applet code="fphover.class" codebase="./" width="120" height="24">
    <param name="text" value="Button Text">
    <param name="color" value="#000080">
    <param name="hovercolor" value="#0000FF">
    <param name="textcolor" value="#FFFFFF">
    <param name="effect" value="glow">
    <param name="url" valuetype="ref" value="Body.htm">
    </applet>
    </p>

    Cheers,
    Jim

    Re: Targer frames with hover buttons (2000)

    I think it is simply a matter of using the Hover Button properties set-up:

    Click the Link to "Browse..." button (even if you already have the target url listed)
    Click the "Target frame" button (it looks like a few dots and a pencil)
    Select the target frame by clicking on it.

    The code should end up with the target included, something like:

    <applet code="fphover.class" codebase="./" width="120" height="24">
    <param name="text" value="Button Text">
    <param name="color" value="#000080">
    <param name="hovercolor" value="#0000FF">
    <param name="textcolor" value="#FFFFFF">
    <param name="effect" value="glow">
    <param name="url" valuetype="ref" value="Body.htm">
    <param name="target" value="_parent">
    </applet></p>

    Thanks, it works when I type it in but it seems to ignore the target if it's the page default.
