    A5 Format (Word 98)

Does Word have a two page book-type A5 template? Thanks.

I'm not really sure what that is. However, there was a long thread on either this or the VBA board within the past 18 months concerning creating a custom template for books. I seem to recall the issues were more related to chapters and page numbering than with printing, but maybe that was in there, too.

Ok, thanks. I thought that maybe there was a standard template based on an A5 size with two pages per document.

There is no A5 template as far as I know (A5 is he equivilent to 11"x17" tabloid paper IIRC).

You could however use 2 columns per page.

Make your columns on the A5 the same size as an A4 sheet and then add the text.

However, if you want a booklet then you should use A4 and some sort of booklet printer software to get the pages printed on the correct sides in the correct order. I'd recommend one, but I don't know of any <img src=/S/sad.gif border=0 alt=sad width=15 height=15>

    Microsoft Publisher can do this.

I note you are using Word 98 which also means you are using a Mac so this information may be of little assistance as I haven't used a Mac since about 1998.

On the PC with Word XP there is a booklet function built in that handles impositions. It is dodgy but can be made to work if you prepare the text knowing what it will do when you run the function. If the impositions are not important, most PC printer drivers now allow you to specify 2 pages per sheet when outputting the file to a printer.
