Check Box Default Value (ACCESS 2000)

Can someone please tell me if it is possible to change the default values of check boxes?
I would like to change the value of a check box when it is checked from -1 to 1.

Unfortunately, the answer is no. Access designers decided a long time ago to make -1 the value for a True binary field, and 0 the value for False. (Strangely enought, if you work with SQL Server or the MSDE, it uses a +1 for the true value.) You might consider using a checkbox to view the data rather than using a text box. Another solution is to format the field to Yes/No or True/False.
