Outlook Zipping attachments (2000)

    I noticed that my Outlook 2000 sometimes decides to zip my email attachments. However, the email recipients may not have an unzip program, causing a lot of frustration. The zip process saves relatively little space/bandwidth anyway.

    Is there a way to tell Outlook NOT to zip attachments?

    disable the zip feature in quickview or other 3rd party program you are using. Outlook doesn't have the capability on it's own.

    I have Quickview but do not see anything in it anywahere about zipping files. How would you begin to look for what application is causing the files to be zipped?

    Start at the Jasc QuickView Plus page, then drop down the menu labeled support and click Knowledge Base, then run searches with different combinations of words until you find:

    How can I stop Quick View Plus 7 from automatically zipping my email attachments?

[list=1]
Open Quick View Plus.

Choose View > Configure Quick View Plus.

    Thanks alot. I have been trying to find what was zipping my attachments and never thought that QuickView might be the culprit. I don't understand why that feature is even in a viewer program.
    Appreciate the help.
