    Internet Explorer Address Bar (6.0)

Every time I click the down arrow in the Address bar to choose URL's, Internet Explorer quits and disappears.
I applied service pack for Explorer 6. Operating system is Windows 2000 with SP2.
    Tried re installing Office 2000 sp1 , didn't help.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Jerry

I would try to Repair IE first. Go to Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs and select Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 and Internet Tools. Select the Option to "Repair Internet Exporer".

This sounds vaguely familiar. I think someone had this problem last year or earlier this year, and it related to corruption in the history or something like that. Although clearing your history is counterproductive if you're trying to use it to access sites, you might have to try it at some point to see if that is the problem.
