Add records to Form (Access 2000)

I have an Access Form with 19 fields in it. I put data in all the fields but 3. I get an error message on the three fields that says: Can't add record(s); join key of table 'Vehicle Information' not in record set? Help I have two forms: One keeps track of Driver Permits and one for Vehicle Violations. The three fields are in both forms. Driver Permit form allows me to enter data in the three fields (in question) but the Vehicle Violation form don't allow me to enter data in them.

Check the tables driving the forms (no pun intended... <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15> ). It sounds as if there is a relationship on the tables that is being violated.

Check your vehicle information table and ensure that the data you are entering is in this table as well. For example, the vehicle information table would have a one to many relationship to permits and violations tables. You would not be able to enter any data in the permits or violations tables if the related data did not already exist in the vehicle information table.
