Excel open in a explorer window (200 sr1)

I don't know why but currently when I click on an Excel workbook it opens a version of Excel inside an Internet Explorer window.
I can open Excel and then the document and it is fine.
I don't know how it happened. If I installed some 'Helpfull' utility or what.
Has anybody heard of this and know what to do?
I don't like it and want to remove this "Feature"

Thanks, You have never let me down.

Open Windows Explorer. Click on Folder Options in the Tools menu, then click on the File Types tab. Scroll down the list until you find the .xls file type. Click on the .xls file type to select it. Click on the Advanced button (this is for Windows 2000, if you are on a different version it may be different). Click on the Open command in the list to select it. Click on the Edit button. If the box that is labeled "Application used to perform action" shows Internet Explorer as the program, that is the problem. Use the Browse button to change the program to Excel.

It is now working correctly (at least for me). It did not open with 'IE' it did say Excel which I had checked, but had some characters after that. I cleaned it out and rebroswed to the Excel program file and now it is clean and working.

    Case Closed
    Thanks

    Or:

    Start, Run,
    "C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOfficeExcel.exe" /Regserver

Quotes mandatory, Note you may have to change the path.

This also resets all other extensions Excel considers to be XL files <g>.
