After installing Service Pack 1, I find that my CD drive is no longer recognized by Windows. Cannot swear that it was SP1 that did it, but it was later the same day that I first discovered it. BIOS recognizes it. Yes, it is XP compatible (Sony CRX140E). If I uninstall it, then choose Add New Hardware, it gets reinstalled, but with the yellow exclamation point. The General tab says that Windows could not load the device driver. The driver details screen has a green checkmark by every file. Help! Does anyone have any suggestions?

Found it! For anyone who cares:
Turns out, it had nothing to do with SP1. Rather, I had installed and then uninstalled Easy CD Creator, and that is what did it. This is a known issue with Easy CD Creator and XP, and there is an MS Knowledge Base article, Q314060, with a fix for it.
