    Unknown files

I have quite a few files in the windows dir that are named "_3*****.AAA". The * represent random alpha and numerics. They are all 4096KB in size with various dates.
Are they required files for windows? Are they temp files that can be deleted?
They make up about 25% of the files in my windows dir.
No one seems to know what the AAA extension represents. Help!

    Hi Gary

You can checkout this website for a possible answer.
Note: The top part of the page is in German....just scroll down for English.

You should probably run a virus check and an adware/spyware check before you go much further.

    Have a Great day!!!
