    Bachelor Dinner

No time to cook and Lounge? Try this easy meal:

In a bowl or disposable plastic container place 4 ounces of yogurt and 4 ounces of guacamole. Mix well. Serve with 14 medium-sized tortilla chips.

Tip: Position tissue next to mouse for quick wipes to keep the salt and oil off the mouse. Use the mixing spoon to finish the dip.

For dessert, eat the nearest piece of fruit. Supplement with chocolate squares from the desk drawer.

    Nutritional Composition (before dessert):

    5g protein
    33g carbohydrates (4g fiber)
    27g fat (5g saturated)

Hmmm... a bit light on the protein. Where are those pickled herring snacks? <img src=/S/evilgrin.gif border=0 alt=evilgrin width=15 height=15>

    That's EXACTLY what I eat for dinner at least 6 days a week! Ahh, the joys of bachelorhood... <img src=/S/groovin.gif border=0 alt=groovin width=21 height=21>

    Re: Bachelor Dinner

One of my favorite quick and easy dishes is to take 1.5 cups of Asian style sushi rice, 2 cups of water and 4 or 5 (depending on the size) frozen boneless skinless chicken breast tenderloins. Combine the rice and water in a medium (5 to 6 inch dia.) size pan and put the rice on to boil. As the rice is starting to heat up cut the breast pieces into about 1 inch long chunks. Once the rice has strated to boil place the chicken on top of the rice. Cover, reduce heat to simmer and cook for 20 minutes. You then have chicken flavored rice and it only uses one pan.

Can also be done with Pork tenderloin chunks. It will not work with Fish of any kind.

    Re: Bachelor Dinner

Here's a recipe for very desperate bachelors which I discovered between marriages:

    You will need:

one pkg fruit-filling toaster strudels (those revolting sweet breakfast things)
ice cream not more than three months past expiry date

    Instructions:
toast two toaster strudels in the toaster
    scoop ice cream on them

    Eat

(while pretending to be a French Master Chef on break, if you want to do it my way).

Not as bad as it sounds.

Makes one pine for the alter!

But seriously, I find it very difficult to buy any prepared baked goods and still avoid trans-fatty acids (partially hydrogenated oils). So I'd probably just stick with the ice cream. <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>

I was about to say that my dietary habits have improved considerably since then, but the Excutive Assistant bought Krispy Kreme donuts in this morning. Rats!

Was that Freudian? Alter for altar? Change for marriage? Let me tell you now that if you're going to try to alter someone by dragging them to the altar it's not going to work! <img src=/S/brickwall.gif border=0 alt=brickwall width=25 height=15> I usually try not to comment on mistypings/misspellings, but this one was just to good to pass up.

By the way, glad to see you Krispy Kreme fans posting. The company was founded in my home town and it's where we all used to go when pulling all-nighters in high school and college. It's good to see the local boys doing well.

How true! Among the very large number of laughs in Catch 22 by Joseph Heller is a quote that I have never forgotten. It goes :
Nurse Duckett found Yossarian wonderful, and was already trying to change him.
    Catch 22, Chapter 30, page 358.

    Why do women do that? <img src=/S/duck.gif border=0 alt=duck width=23 height=23>

You see... this is a place where we learn so much more than just how to cook. <img src=/S/chef.gif border=0 alt=chef width=19 height=22> We learn about life here. <img src=/S/doctor.gif border=0 alt=doctor width=25 height=33>

    (I just learned that I'm NEVER getting married!) <img src=/S/flee.gif border=0 alt=flee width=25 height=25>

I'll let you know next October... I may just be thinking (don't turn and run, don't turn and run...)
I think that's why dad walks me down the aisle... so instincts don't take over and I try to play dead... or hide under all that tulle (maybe he won't find me!)
You guys aren't the only ones who need bootie warmers...
    have fun

    That's what you think <img src=/S/exclamation.gif border=0 alt=exclamation width=15 height=15>. You can <img src=/S/flee.gif border=0 alt=flee width=25 height=25> and you can <img src=/S/hiding.gif border=0 alt=hiding width=70 height=24> but once a woman has you in her sites - look out. <img src=/S/woops.gif border=0 alt=woops width=58 height=36>

    Remember - you can get 20-25 years for murder <img src=/S/heavy.gif border=0 alt=heavy width=40 height=34>, the only real life sentence is marriage <img src=/S/laugh.gif border=0 alt=laugh width=15 height=15>

    Re: Bachelor Dinner

Since I somehow started this with my "between marriages" recipe, I want to assure you KT that my marriage #2 has been wonderful. There have been bumps, detours and some flat tires on this road, but I won't trade this wife in! Jitters are normal, fear not.
