    Square feet symbol (Word 2000/XP)

I need to find the symbol for square feet. It's a square with a vertical line through the center. Haven't seen one in the Symbols area. Also looked on microsoft.com, but no luck. Has anyone seen this symbol?

I, too, have looked for this for ages for a construction client of mine and never could find it. Wonder why? I've played around with this using, for example, one of the squares from Symbols overstruck with the vert. bar (above the back slash)...it's only fair not perfect. I guess no one at Microsoft every took shop in school.

    In ISO 10646:

Hex code 2385 is white square with centre vertical line.
Hex code 25EB is white square with vertical bisecting line, I believe in this case the line stays within the square.

Dunno if Windoze supports those codes in any fonts.

<P ID="edit" class=small>(Edited by Klaus Linke on 19-Sep-02 22:32. no, you can't see the character here)</P>"Arial Unicode MS" has the character U+25EB; perhaps it's even visible here for those who have that font installed: ◫

I have that font on my Win 2000 Pro system.
This system has VB 6 Enterprise, VS .NET Pro, and Office XP Developer Edition, and IE 6.

IE 6 does not seem to offer that font as an alternative.

"Arial Unicode MS" was supplied with all the Office2000 programs, and probably with the XP versions, too.
There used to be a download link at microsoft.com/typography, but I can't find it any more.

As Klaus said, Arial Unicode is installed by a MSFT product. Klaus indicated that it was installed by Office 2000.

I do not know what MSFT has at the typography site, I was just pointing out that the site did exist.
