    rotate a photo

If I have Windows 2K but not necessarily Office 2K is there a way I can rotate photos? MS Paint doesn't let me open .jpgs.

To do this properly you need a good graphic editor. Then you can make a copy , rotate it and then use it. If you have Windows XP the FilmStrip Mode can rotate a file.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

    But there's nothing that ships with the OS? I don't even need anything good! <img src=/S/artist.gif border=0 alt=artist width=34 height=29>

    Re: rotate a photo

The lowly MSPaint program will rotate in 90 degree increments. (My userpicture's caption was created by rotating 90 degrees, adding text, then rotating 270 degrees again.) Unfortunately JPEG appears to be one of Paint's less reliable formats, so I wouldn't rely on it for anything really critical.

Afterthought: I'm not sure why Paint won't open JPEGs on your computer. Maybe JPEG support was added to mine by Office 2000??

AngelaJ, Take a look at http://www.irfanview.com/. It is a very popular free graphics file viewer.

You thought correct, and it's optional - deselected by default.

That is right, nothing that ships with Windows 2000. As for a editor, go to the Software finds and wants, http://www.wopr.com/cgi-bin/w3t/postlist.p...&Board=freeof this lounge and you will find several editors from free to high price.
