    Removing Page Numbers from converted file. (2002)

    I have a file converted from WordPerfect to Word 2002...it converted page numbers that need to be deleted. The numbers are not in a header/footer and I have tried every way to delete them (through a frame, header/footer, etc.) PLEASE HELP ME !!

    I'm not familiar with Word 2002, but if they are fields, press Alt+F9 to see the fields & then select & delete them. If the numbering can't be selected, you should be able to save as rich text (.rtf). Then when you reopen as a Word document, the numbers should be plain text.

    If this doesn't work for you, zip a portion of the file & attach it to your post for us to see.
