Printed page not matching screen displa (WinWord 2000 SR-1)

I have a document that I have been updating now for at least 4 years. Suddenly, the changes I thought I was making to a page layout on the screen (adding extra line spaces to seperate paragraphs) are not being printed . I have tried saving then printing; saving, exiting Word and restarting Word to print; I have changed from save as .doc to save as .rtf. OS is Win2K SP-2. The screen display is reflecting the changes, but Print Preview and the print hardcopy do not have the changes. I can change words on the page which print OK, but not spacing. Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

What print options do you have set? Draft font, hidden, drawings? When you say line spaces, are you talking about space above/below or are you talking about paragraph marks?

Perhaps you could attach a couple of pages from your document to show what you mean.

    Cheers,

Attached is 3 pages of the file. The problem page is 3-1 or Chapter 3 What does those numbers mean? I am attempting add line breaks using the paragraph key to better seperate the equations inserted as pictures from the follow on text. The problem seems to be related to the equations as I can make can changes to text that print correctly.

On the second page of your document (page 3-1) you have a section of Hidden text, immediately after the equation that starts SVR=. Is this the part of the document that is giving you problems?

The easiest way to tidy this up will be...

    1. <LI>Tools > Options > View > set the Hidden Text checkbox
      <LI>Edit > Select All (or control-A)
<LI>Format > Font > Clear the check box by Hidden
I have done this for you and will attach the result to this post.

Thank you. Now, I need to investigate why I had hidden text.
