Word XP Saving to Floppy (Word XP)

In Word XP; after saving a file to the C: drive you go I go to the Open box, right click the file and choose "Send To" 3 1/2 Floppy (A). It appears to copy the file but, when finished, gives the message "The Target cannot handle this type of document". I open the floppy copy and it appears ok. Can anyone tell me what the message means and has it any bearing on the saving procedure? Thanks for any replies. Bob W.

Only a guess: If you still have the document open, Windows might be trying to copy some kind of metadata about that along with the file. Does it happen if you first close the file and then copy it? Does it happen if you browse around and copy a different file or a different kind of file?

The only time I get this "Target" message is when you right click on the file and "Sent to" flopppy. In no other instance can I make this message repeat. Thanks
