    Drawing a circle with a macro (Excel 2000)

    Hi,

    I am trying to draw a circle in an Excel macro using the ActiveSheet.Shapes.Addshape command and I keep getting an error 438 - Object doesn't support this property or method, anybody know what I have missed.

    Regards

    Mike

    This works for me...
    <pre>ActiveSheet.Shapes.AddShape msoShapeOval, 100, 100, 100, 100
    </pre>

    Can you post a copy of the failing code?

    My sympathy <img src=/S/sad.gif border=0 alt=sad width=15 height=15> It happens to all of us. You did well to find it yourself <img src=/S/clapping.gif border=0 alt=clapping width=19 height=23>, sometimes you never find these things until someone else looks at the code and laughs at you <img src=/S/laugh.gif border=0 alt=laugh width=15 height=15>.

    Many of those problems are due to aging eyes and terminalitis.
    I find the cure to the latter is often printing the code and getting away from the terminal.
    Peruse the code whilst, say, watching a sports event on the idiot box.
