    PDF toolbar/button in Word (97 Sr2 or XP)

    I used to have a toolbar for Adobe Acrobat in my toolbar list in Word. But, when I upgraded to the newer version of Adobe, I can't find a way to get the new Acrobat/PDF toolbar in Word. I have tried making a toolbar, but I don't know how get the program open with the toolbar if I make a new toolbar. I can get the new toolbar, but I can't figure out where to go from there to get the button on the toolbar. I have posted this to Adobe's forum, but no one knows what to do.

    You need to ensure that an add-in is loaded called PDFMaker.dot. That is where the toolbar and macros comes from.

    Thanks Andrew, but when I checked, it's already loaded. Now what?

    OK then. Right click in a toolbar area and ensure that the PDFMaker (probably PDFMaker 4.0) toolbar is ticked. If so then the toolbar should be visible on your screen.

    If it still isn't visible then it gets trickier as it might be hiding off the screen. If this is the case, you will need to run some code to bring it back onto the screen. The following code will move it to the left hand side of the window. You should then be able to locate it anywhere you want it.
    <pre>Sub temp1()
    With CommandBars("PDFMaker 4.0")
    .Visible = True
    .Position = msoBarLeft
    End With
    End Sub</pre>

    Well, it's Adobe 5, and right-clicking on the toolbar does not list it with the othe toolbars. I even went to Customize and tried to find it. It's not listed. Thought I'd try to create a new toolbar and put the button on, and I created the toolbar fine. But, got stuck adding the button because I don't know where to find the app... it's not listed under any of the commands.

    When you say it is loaded in the add-ins, does it have a tick next to it?

    I would really expect the toolbar to be available unless you have disabled the add-in.

    Yes, it's loaded and has a check mark beside it. That's what puzzles me. It's not my PC, so I don't know for sure what the user did, but he said he doesn't know how to delete toolbars.
