# Thread: Week # dates (MS Office 97 SR1)

1. ## Week # dates (MS Office 97 SR1)

Hi

I will try to keep this simple I have a workseet with cell entries of Week 1 Week 2 etc, I need to know the date the week commenced, ie Week 1 = 01/01/2002,
the cells are not adjacent so I cannot use the series fill.
If you can help I would be most grateful.

2. ## Re: Week # dates (MS Office 97 SR1)

Try:
=(WeekNumber-1)*7+DATE(2002,1,1)

where weeknumber is the week number (1 through whatever)

Steve

3. ## Re: Week # dates (MS Office 97 SR1)

Assuming you're using the ISO weeknumber and not the US one:

=DATE(\$Q\$1,1,1)+(C2-IF(WEEKDAY(DATE(\$Q\$1,1,1),2)<5,1,0))*7-WEEKDAY(DATE(\$Q\$1,1,1),2)+1

Q1 contains 2002
C2 contains the weeknumber
