Woody's Field Sniffer - Not in Tools (Office XP)

    I downloaded and isntalled Woody's Field Sniffer according to directions. However when I open a Word document I do not see the Sniffer under the Tools menu as the documentation describes. What is amiss here? I tried rebooting and reinstalling both with no effect on the problem.

    A couple of things to check:
    [list=1]
Displaying "full" rather than "personalized" menus?

On the Options tab of the Tools|Customize... dialog, you want to show full menus at all times. (Word 2000's description of this differs from Word XP's I believe, so I can't describe the exact language.)

    This has happened on 3 other systems I'm aware of, but I have no idea what the reason for it is, nor would I have a cure. In any case, <!post=please take a look here,183056>please take a look here<!/post>, and, before installing the new program, uninstall FieldSniffer.
    Cheers, Claude.

    Do you have an earlier version of Word installed?

    I had that problem at home last night.

    I have W97 and W2K installed and the template was installed under the startup directory for W97, and was using W2K to test it.

    It took me about half an hour and 5 downloads of it to realize what had happened.
