Does it mean the ID with all the digits that shows up in the System control panel?

What program is asking? Are you supposed to have a userid/password set up to access it? Could be just asking in funny way.

I think (maybe I'm wrong) that "computer ID" that you was asked for is your computer name, that is created for networking purpose. Press Windows key and Pause/Break key on your keyboard simultaneously (or Start | Control Panel | Performance and Maintainance | System) and click "Computer Name" tab. You will see "Full computer name" line in the middle of the window. This name was created during Windows installation. You can change it, if you want.
