Re-Creating MDW file and Security Info

    Greetings Everyone,

What have any of you done with the following scenario:
You get a database that was created using Access' built-in security. All information on the workgroup file is lost. You still have the workgroup file, but can't recreate it, as the person who originally created the workgroup didn't write down the WID etc.

What does anyone recommend? The Owner User Name and Password are known. Is it correct to assume that a new workgroup file could be created, then create a database container under the new workgroup?

    Thank you kindly in advance.

I think the owner has to log on and then export the databse to a new workgroup and owner.

One interim step may be returning all permissions to Admin.
