    References to Tables (Access 2000)

I have a table and the first column is Phone Extensions and the last column is Location, can I create another table with just the phone extensions aentnd location so on the the first table when I type or change the phone extension it will automatically change the location to match? In some what like a VLOOKUP in Excel. Thank in advance for any help.

If you make the primary keys of both tables the 'phone extension you can set up a query, linking the primary keys and putting them both in the grid - use that to make the alterations in - you will then see the linked table change before your very eyes!

Will it hurt anything by changing the Primary key from one field to another. I have no linked tables or anything.

    Thanks again

No - not if there are no linked tables (and 'phone extension is unique)
