Presentation software - Found and lost (Argh!)

I posted a message a couple of weeks ago, looking for special presentation software (thanks for the help bigaldoc and d_rasley). I checked out the suggestions offered and followed up a few leads. One piece of software I ran into kept haunting me and decided that although it was complex, it would really do a great job. I went back to look for it and now I can't find it! (I thought I bookmarked it, but I can't even track it down in my history files).
I hope someone out there recognizes this thing because I'm goin' nuts:

You use the software to build a presentation using still images

You can make the images zoom in and out, pan back and forth

Lots of transistion effects available

You can add music and audio commentaries and some other stuff

It was not a well know software maker (e.g. Adobe)

The resulting presentation can be loaded onto a CD for easy distribution[/list]I remember the site mentioned something a TV program about Gettysburg. This software creates some of the same sort of effects. (Yes, I tried Google, but had no luck with any number of combinations of keywords.)

    Thanks!
    Louis

    Edited to add:
I may have misunderstood what you are asking - are you saying the software you found was mentioned in this forum, or you just happened to come across it following a lead?

Thanks Leif (Man, that was a fast reply). No, that was just the beginning of the trail. I tired many times to retrace my steps across the web, but kept getting lost. Tracking this sucker down has now become an obsession.

OK - try this pre-loaded search at Google - I'm getting loads of hits which could be what you need.

Re: Presentation software - Found and lost (Argh!)

Thanks Leif. Unfortunately with 11,000 hits on that search it comes pretty close to the sort of searching I was doing. Google is great for finding something specific when you have enough specifics to go on. I can't tell you how many different permutations I tried, but they ranged from 64,000 to 0. If no one knows this software (or a good portal that might review it), I may have to conclude that perhaps the sofware went back to the whisky bottle from whence it came.

Thanks KenK. Nope, but that's a friggin' nice piece of software though. I will download it and try it out for sure. The one I was looking for was an order of magnitude more complicated. Instead of a simple display of the picture, the one I'm looking for enables you to start with a closeup of one part of the picture, pan to another part of the picture, then pull back to view the whole photo. It also enables you, if I remember correctly, to make the picture rotate during the presentation and move from photo to photo with graduating disolves. All in all, a pretty slick package (if I can find the smeggin' thing).

    Hi Louis

I came across Photo Pulse while surfing.
It has lots of transitions and effects, add audio, make CD's etc.
    Not free......$35 USD.

    Have a Great day!!!

Thanks Ken! That software darn near fits the bill even if it isn't the one I saw before. A pity it doesn't do desolves, but I may just have to bite the bullet 'cause it's pretty darn slick otherwise.
