Options.DefaultFilePath(wdDocumentsPath) (Word 97SR2)

Am I right in saying that the

Options.DefaultFilePath(wdDocumentsPath)

statement is buggy? It returns wdCurrentFolderPath, not
the document path setting under Tools>Options>File Locations.

I think that's common knowledge by now. But what's the work around?

Pull the real Documents Path value from the registry?

According to the article at Q220193 you should use the following workaround...

Sub GetDefaultDocPath()
Dim DefDocPath As String
DefDocPath = Dialogs(wdDialogToolsOptionsFileLocations).Setting
MsgBox DefDocPath
End Sub
