Creating a task from an email message (XP/2002 SP-1)

Is there a way to create task based on an open email? I know how to drag an email to the tasks folder. What I want to do is create a task based on an open email from the email window, without having to go back to the main Outlook window.

    Many thanks!

    Hi DeNae,
I hope I have understood your question correctly. With the email open go to the File menu, where there is an option to Copy to folder. Choose this option then select the Tasks folder.
The Tasks window will now be open for adding details. HTH
