Option Groups (Access97)

The form that i wish to filter is called tblLegislators2... It is based on a table, not a query. There are two subforms on the main form. The base table for this form contains a field called [TitleID] (it's a combobox) which is linked to tblTitles(titleID is the autonumber for tblTitles). TblTitles has a field called [HouseID] which is linked to tblHouse (houseID is the autonumber for tblHouse). I have added a column to tblhouse called OptionValue which is valued 1-5. (I am going to need to sort by these criteria repeatedly in this database). In the form footer i have the option group set up, it's called TitleFilter and has 5 labels with values 1-5 also... The option group has no control source and the [TitleID] field on the form is still TitleID. Soooooooooo, how the heck do I connect them? i've tried numberous manipulations on the afterupdate event of optiongroup TitleFilter. I think i'm missing something basic... it is here that i drop the ball EVERYTIME...

Thank you so much HANS!! the database on the microsoft site gave me the understanding that i needed... I now have my first working option group.... and it actually filters!... But i discovered i have a problem... inner join disease... exacerbated by a bad case of over normalization... I need a

Do you actually have a question, or did you get an answer from Hans in another thread?
